Introduction:
Wind is a source of energy. It is one of the oldest forms of energy used by humankind and it is free and inexhaustible. Since the beginning of recorded history, people have used the wind to move ships on the sea and for centuries, windmills have performed mechanical work such as grinding grain into feed and flour, as well as moving water. For many centuries, wind power was both practical and cost-competitive with other forms of energy.
