Solar thermal / electric power:

Sometimes steam produced by solar heating is used as the generating force to drive turbines. This is called solar thermal power. International experiments with thermal power involve the use of solar ponds, solar farms and power towers. However, though these experiments sound exciting, they are all in their infancy.
