Where does all the money go?

In the following website link, there is a pie chart which shows the different ways that energy is used in a typical Western Australian home.

The diagram relates to the southwestern portion of Western Australia. In a colder climate, such as in Victoria, the pie chart will be different. Water heating forms the largest segment of the pie chart. In a warmer climate (the northern part of our continent), air-conditioning will be the biggest proportion of people’s expenditure.

The chart is also based on the use of electrical and gas applications. The chart would be very different if solar, wood or oil appliances were included in the diagram.
