Western Power Solar Model Boat Challenge

Mission statement

To promote and develop interest and expertise in using solar and renewable energies by school students by using learning processes to address real challenges. By so doing, it is hoped that the citizens, scientists and engineers of the future will be more likely to participate in developing an environmentally aware approach to energy usage through more efficient use of old technologies and appropriate introduction of renewable energy resources.

The 2008 Western Power Solar Model Boat Challenge will be held at World of Energy on Thursday October 23 and Friday October 24.
