Safety

Electricity is clean, quiet and invisible. The fact that it is invisible means we often take it for granted and its inherent dangers are not always apparent.

Every year in Australia, electricity kills and seriously injures a considerable number of people. Most of these injuries occur through a lack of knowledge and understanding about electricity and its dangers.

Western Power’s Shock Proof electrical safety education program is designed to provide this knowledge and understanding to primary schools students. Presenters use role plays and real-life props to encourage active learning.

The program is provided FREE to primary schools located in the metropolitan area and major regional centres.
